Payment methods

We accept credit cards, checks and money orders. Your payment method will determine how you order.

Credit cards: order online.

Checks or money orders: complete the cart, mail a check, and your order will be sent upon receipt of your payment. Make checks payable to UC Regents. Send to CPER, 2521 Channing Way, Berkeley, CA 94720-5555.


Due to new procedures and safety policies as a result of Covid 19, we are experiencing processing and shipping delays. These new policies are to keep our warehouse staff safe and you safe. All shipping partners that we use have also implemented new and rigorous safety procedures. Orders are typically shipped USPS or FedEx. An order placed on a weekday will typically ship out same day, or next day. Orders placed on Friday afternoon or over the weekend will typically ship out on the following Monday.

Rush Orders: Unfortunately, we have suspended our rush delivery services until further notice. Due to ongoing shipping delays caused by the pandemic, there is no way for our fulfillment partner to guarantee delivery dates at this time. We appreciate your patience while we keep our warehouse and shipping partners safe.

Applying taxes

The tax rate is based on the delivery location. With credit card orders, this is done automatically. When paying by check, calculate your tax by going to the list of cities on the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration website. Calculate the tax before adding in the shipping amount.

Return policy for general orders

  1. We are unable to reverse cash or credit card orders.
  2. Approved credit toward your next purchase will be issued for price paid, minus a 5% restocking fee.
  3. Returns will be accepted up to thirty (30) days from the date of purchase, as long as they are in resale condition — undamaged and unmarked.
  4. Purchaser must pay for shipping returned books.
  5. Credit will not include shipping.
