How to Order

Payment methods

We accept credit cards, checks and money orders. Your payment method will determine how you order.

Credit cards: order online.

Checks or money orders: complete the cart, mail a check, and your order will be sent upon receipt of your payment. Make checks payable to UC Regents. Send to CPER, 2521 Channing Way, Berkeley, CA 94720-5555.


Orders are typically shipped USPS or FedEx.

Rush Orders: Rush orders must be billed to the customer’s account. Call CPER, 510-643- 7093.

Rates are based on the value of your order. They are as follows:

$30.01 to $75 $7.95
$75.01 to $150 $11.95
$150.01 to $350 $14.95
$350.01 to $500 $17.95
$500 or more no charge


Applying taxes

The tax rate is based on the delivery location. With credit card orders, this is done automatically. When paying by check, calculate your tax by going to the list of cities on the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration website. Calculate the tax before adding in the shipping amount.

Return policy for general orders

  1. We are unable to reverse cash or credit card orders.
  2. Approved credit toward your next purchase will be issued for price paid, minus a 5% restocking fee.
  3. Returns will be accepted up to thirty (30) days from the date of purchase, as long as they are in resale condition — undamaged and unmarked.
  4. Purchaser must pay for shipping returned books.
  5. Credit will not include shipping.
